Risto Kontturi, MSc, started to offer Elevator Consultant Services in 2020. He is one of the most experienced high rise / high speed elevator engineers in the world. Risto has almost 40 years of experience in elevator industry. Working for KONE, one of the leading elevator and escalator companies in the world, in different managerial / director level roles in R&D, engineering, supply and sales focusing to high rise buildings globally. He has gained very wide understanding of the overall challenges owners of tall buildings face when planning and executing new buildings, as well how to keep their existing property competitive by modernizing the vertical transportation systems in them. Risto has also given several conference presentations related to the green building topics and has also attained the designation of LEED Green Associate.

Risto has almost 20 patents related to elevator technology, e.g. a patent how to measure vertical people flow in a tall building or a patent to give an elevator call using a mobile device or a patent how to use mobile device to manage the access rights to access a building / floors.
Risto has lived 5 years in Shanghai and has good understanding of Asian culture.
